Geronimo was once asked how he feels about being falsely imprisoned for close to three decades. He replied, “When you’ve been through what I’ve been through, you’ve come to realize that bitterness has no place in the heart of the human being.” Geronimo lived these words to fullest extent, known for being humble, open-minded and incredibly down-to-earth. I viewed a documentary about Pete and Charlotte O'neal living in exile in Tanzania. He was a Black Panther party member from Kansas City. Geronimo "G" Pratt, imprisoned in San Quentin for 3 decades on phony charges, joined them in 2000. Upon his release the LAPD and Justice Dept. settled with 4 million dollars. Joju Cleaver, pictured here, was his wife (he passed away in 2011) . She is the daughter of Eldridge and Kathleen Cleaver, Oakland Panthers. This is Bay Area history and things like cointelpro and revolutionary played loud. It's fascinating to me to only know things peripherally yet feel the general human vibe of familiarity with cause. Geronimo was Tupac Shakur's Godfather. Pete and Charlotte run a school, water program, etc for locals and travelers. And life flows on...
