California. 1968. Ronald Bridgeforth was involved in a shootout with South San Francisco police after a credit card crime. According to published reports: He was convicted and fled overseas. A year later he returned to the US and settled in Michigan. During that time Bridgeforth apparently worked as a janitor, earned a Master's degree, a career in education and raised a family. In 2011 he turned himself in for trial after 42 years living under an assumed name. In March 2012, he was sentenced to a year in county jail. This was an interesting group of people with a genuinely connected vibe. I happened to be in the area as this was happening. Connie reads his statement of acknowledgment. What struck me was the courtesy, camaraderie and the overall vibe of truth in justice. http://www.keywiki.org/index.php/Ronald_Bridgeforth

We were very good friends when I was photographing the Black Panthers in San Francisco. I am now 88 years old. I would like to talk to Ron one more time.
